I wanted to use Precious Metal Clay, but it wouldn't have been done today. So here's some silver colored polymer clay leaf and spacer beads. The leaves were made with two different stamps.
I still hope to try to PMC sometime soon. Probably in a class at a local bead store.

~Use water as your inspiration or meduim.

This one was hard for me. I could come up with any ideas. My mom started throwing some ideas at me. So... I made this with a wet paper towel, food coloring, and more water sprinkled on top. It's still wet now, but once it's dry, might make some sweet card background!

~Make something using paper, but don't you scissors, glue and you can't draw on it.

This is ripped up paper, soaked in water and flour, pushed into a cookie cutter and dried. Then I wrapped wire around it and made a loop for haning up. If it survives, I might hang it on my Christmas tree next year.

365-1

"The first step is the hardest, so start small and make something that fits in the palm of your hand using only the materials in your immediate environment."

Now, the book says starting is the hardest. I had quite a few ideas for this first project and skimming through the book, it seems like it might be one of the easier ones. I asked my hubby to pick a color, so you can thank him for this being a beautiful red! I've been thinking about making a ring for awhile, but I'd always thought it would be on made on a purchased ring with the loops at the top to attache beads. I like this better because it's NOT adjustable. I love this ring! It took a few hours to make, but I will wear it someday. Sadly, not to work.

Also, skimming through the book, I'm not sure how many projects I'm going to fit into my personal rule of making something I want to keep or something that I've been wanting to make. Some of the days are just SO crazy, but you'll just have to wait and see!

365/365

EDIT:
Ooops, I should have added a picture of it in my palm since that was one of the rules.

Day 0: Even Though Tomorrow I Will Start Counting Down From 365

Today I purchased A Daily Creativity Journal: 365: Make Something Every Day and Change Your Life! by Noah Scalin. I saw a reference to this book on Facebook this morning and decided that it is something that I want to do.
The beginning of the book has information about getting started and not feeling bad about missing days, what to do if you have a brain freeze. I will do this in 365 days! If I miss a day, I will just have to double up until I catch up. I *hope* this doesn't happen ever (or hardly ever). The book also states that if you feel creative enough, you can wander off and do your own thing on those days. I don't plan on doing this. I plan on following the rules in the book each day, in order. I've had time in my life where I can just do whatever I want. I like the challenge of the necessity to follow the rules.
I also plan to make something everyday what I actually want to keep (or gift). Something useful, something I've been wanting to make but haven't, anything like that. Also, I want to spend a minimal amount of money to achieve this goal.

So tomorrow will be the first day. Day 365. Wish me luck!
